This is our neighbors helping neighbors story....
We began as an idea in 1992 out of a visionary need to "fill the gaps" where other services weren't able to service specific needs of seniors and disabled adults in Polk County, Wisconsin. The Robert Wood Johnson Foundation awarded a $25,000 grant which gave birth to Interfaith Caregivers of Polk County - a volunteer care giving organization.
The humble beginnings in 1995 saw many hands and minds helping, guiding, and volunteering to service the needs of our neighbors. Churches, business people, school teachers, nurses, farmers, and professionals from all areas volunteered their time, knowledge, and energy to serve on the board, volunteer, and advise Interfaith on best ways to serve the needs of our neighbors.
Over the years, Interfaith's main office has served out of many different locations. In October 2020, we moved to our current location in St. Croix Falls. Interfaith Caregivers is celebrating 28 years of service to our neighbors in Polk County!
