Executive

The Executive Director provides strategic leadership and day-to-day management for Interfaith Caregivers of Polk County, overseeing program planning, implementation, coordination, staff and volunteer training, performance management, and program evaluation. The ideal candidate is mission-driven, highly organized, and effective in relationship building, collaboration, and community engagement, working closely with volunteers, staff, board members, donors, and community partners. This role requires experience in nonprofit administration or community-based human services, along with a strong understanding of aging services, disability support, and care coordination that enable older adults and individuals with disabilities to maintain independence, dignity, and quality of life in their homes and communities.
Responsibilities:

Lead grant writing, fundraising initiatives, and program development.

Plan, implement, and evaluate county-wide service programs.

Maintain accurate financial, program, and compliance records; prepare required reports.

Recruit, supervise, train, and support staff and volunteers.

Lead orientation and ongoing education for staff and volunteers.

Build and maintain partnerships with community organizations, agencies, and donors.

Represent Interfaith Caregivers at community meetings and outreach events.

Ensure all programs align with the organization’s mission and quality standards.

Bachelor’s degree in social services, nonprofit management, human services, or a related field required.

3–5 years of experience in nonprofit administration, program management, or volunteer coordination.

Demonstrated supervisory and leadership experience, including staff and volunteer oversight.

Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to build effective relationships.

Experience with data tracking, financial reporting, budget management, and program evaluation.

Proven ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office, data management systems, and QuickBooks or similar accounting software.
