Neighbors helping Neighbors

Volunteers are paired with a clients whose needs match interests and schedule. These are the volunteer opportunities:

Transportation. Take a client to:

  • Grocery store

  • Doctor or dentist

  • Bank

  • To visit a loved one

  • Cancer treatments

  • Dialysis

  • Hairdresser/Barber

  • Other

Other opportunities:

  • Light housekeeping (limited availability)

  • Fixing little things in a home (lightbulb, handrail)

  • Visiting or calling a client

  • Running errands for a client

  • Reading to a client

  • Giving a break to caregiver of a client

  • Yardwork in spring and fall

  • And much more

Help in the office

There are many ways to help in the office.

  • Filing and Mailings

  • Computer skills - graphic design, Microsoft Office

  • Answering phones

  • Thank You phone calls, letters, and cards
