| Volunteer Do and Don't

- Confidentiality is important
- respect the privacy of those receiving services.
- Do not accept money or gifts of value. If
a client insists, encourage a donation to our program to continue our
program's work for others.
- Do not seek to influence political or religious
matters.

- Call a client the evening before you see
him/her.
- Dress appropriately.
- Be on time. Call if you are running late
or need to reschedule.
- Smile!

- Provide receipts if shopping.
- Avoid hands-on personal care (bathing,
toileting, massaging...)
- Do not offer medical advice or give medicine.
- No heavy lifting.
|
- Use common sense.
- Call 911 if there is a medical emergency.
Then call the program office at 483-9263.
- Call the Interfaith office at 485-9500 if you
notice a great change in the client's condition.
